This place is old school spectacular.

Leather booths, persian rugs, luxe tassled lampshades with an overall elegant deep green colour scheme, I just reveled in the aesthetics here. Classic and glamorous. Also... good wine and impeccable service. I think its more of a cocktail place though.

Feels like a speakeasy in the Mississippi Delta. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable and the cocktails were fantastic -- though I ended up preferring their rail drinks with recommended spirits. Great hidden spot for liquor nerds who find themselves in Sydney.

Great bar that makes great drinks and plays great music.  Super friendly wait staff.  You'll have a great time here!  We did.

Sitting at the bar is the only bar experience worth having.

No, don't argue, it totally is. What, you'd rather be schlepping it back in a corner booth, out of sight and out of mind? Meh to that. This place is bar I didn't know I wanted but had to have. Friendly barmen that are happy to off piste or mix you up a classic. A short, sharp drink and food menu with the courage of it's convictions and no tyranny of choice. The whole place small enough to be intimate without being claustrophobic. And an effortlessly cool, classy vibe that I wish stuck to me when I walked out of the place on wobbly legs with an actress clinging to my arm. She was wearing a feather boa, which is important.

The chipotle honey drizzed fried chicken? A triumph. The salmon carpaccio? Stunning. The tender pink lamb? Oh ho ho, yes.

    For me: peerless.

One of my favourite small bars in Sydney. Staff are always friendly, good drinks, delicious food, relaxed atmosphere. Only downside is it's closed on Mondays!
